Medical treatment
We use traditional medications as well as talking modalities to tackle anxiety. Anxiety is not the same for everyone and we will formulate individualized treatment.

Dr. Bishop
Dr.Bishop Chief of Psychiatry Arkansas Anxiety Clinic has 42 years of experience in psychiatry and is a diplomate of the American Bd.of Psychiatry and neurology. He has practiced in outpatient and inpatient settings in Ark., Ms., and Nevada as a psychiatrist and neurologist. He has been the director of three inpatient psych units including geropsychiatry. The outpatient practice has included all age groups in private practice and at several Arkansas mental health centers.

Anxiety is first treated by SSRI’s which can take a month to “kick in”. Benzodiazepines are used at some point for severe anxiety patients (There is the additional option for Medical Marijuana for those suffering from PTSD). Later counseling, exercise, and life style changes can help as well.That is why professional evaluation and follow up is needed.
